The purpose of this website is to make you know more about the original culture which developped on Easter Island.Contemporary with the development of our own culture, the Easter Island culture is all the more astonishing since it developped within a limited population, and moreover, in one of the most isolated places on Earth. Oceania in general and Oceanian art in particular have been inspiring a great number of western artists for the last two centuries. Quebec artist Jean Hervé Daude has fallen under Rapa Nui's spell, the center of the universe, and invites you to share his passion.(Rapa Nui: name given to their island by the inhabitants).
